Access Control Upgrade

Although the above-mentioned is largely dependent on progress and completion of our gatehouse and paving
upgrades, the HOA is very pleased to announce that the Trac-Tech installation is proceeding according to schedule with the majority of systems and wiring installed as soon as the trunking, manholes etc. are satisfactorily completed by Sterling Construction.

Blouberg Hills gatehouse renovations are nearing practical completion so we will shortly be communicating with our Blouberg Hills residents <first> regarding the procedures surrounding ‘take-on’ of their (incl. domestics, gardeners etc.) fingerprints to facilitate their biometric access and egress when the system is fully up and running … bearing in mind there will be some overlap between the existing <card> system and the new one for ease of transition. We again apologise for any inconvenience during said transition period since our learning curve will also be vertical, but by not rushing things prematurely we’ll at least ensure you’ll only need to visit the HOA/Estate Office once for said take-on.

Signage

The HOA has designed and purchased attractive 150x150mm (i.e. small) “Non-potable water in use. Do not drink!”
signage for residents using ‘alternate’ water on their properties. Please contact the HOA for yours asap, thereby saving us from writing letters reminding residents of Clause 6.0 a) (i) of the Estate Rules which reads “Unless supplied by the HOA and/or approved in writing by the HOA in advance of installation or display, no signage or advertising is permitted on any plot, house or common or public property“. Please be advised that this rule ALSO applies to the armed response etc. signage/boards on numerous residents’ walls…

Speeding

Unfortunately we’ve had an unprecedented number of complaints about speeding on our Estate! PLEASE remind your children, visitors, deliveries etc. of our 20km/hr speed limit and the very important fact that pedestrians enjoy precedence over vehicles on our Estate roads!!

Easter Egg Hunt

A BIG thank you to the whopping 54 children who attended our Estate’s very successful 1st kiddies Easter Egg hunt held on the Sandown 1 park on Saturday, 31 March 2018. We would also like to thank not only the wife of one of our Trustees for her valuable time and money spent, but also Paul and Caroline of Seeff Properties for their kind donation of the marshmallow Easter Eggs. Last but not least, a very special thank you to the Easter Bunny for making space in her busy schedule to spend time with us!!
